Crafting For All Seasons - Many Layers

Layer upon layer upon layer ...... well it certainly explains how I'm dressed today ... it is so cold here!  Well its probably not that cold .... 14 degrees celcius ... but to me that is cold enough.  But it also describes our current challenge over at Crafting For All Seasons.

For this challenge we are being sponsored by:-

The image I have selected for this challenge is the gorgeous Emo Mermaid from Just Some Lines.  As soon as I saw her I just had to colour her and I loved colouring and creating with her so much that I actually made two cards.

With this first card I really experimented with my copics ... I didn't use colours in the same family ... I just picked a bunch of pastel colours and went for it.  I'm really happy with the result.  I used some Liquid Pearls for her hair decoration and some glitter glue on her scales (the glitter glue did unfortunately blur the colours on her tail though).

The papers are from my stash ... and I thought the pattern looked perfect for waves ... so I cut them to suit.  I also added a strip of pale green ribbon through the middle of the card and some cute little cut out starfish.

For my second card I used the same starfish (I think it was a Lucy's stamp) and then just layered lots of different colours.  I really love this one too.

Thank you so much for stopping by ... don't forget to head on over to the Crafting For All Seasons Challenge Blog for some more inspiration.
